Illuminating Safety: Lighting the South Pars Gas Field

In the heart of the South Pars region, along the northern coastline of the Persian Gulf, lies one of the world’s largest natural gas fields. The development of this monumental project required precision, innovation, and a deep commitment to safety. As part of the effort to advance this vital energy hub, our team was entrusted with designing and implementing a lighting system capable of withstanding the demanding conditions of the oil, gas, and petrochemical segment.

A Mission of Safety and Durability
The goal was twofold: to ensure safety in a hazardous environment and to provide a durable lighting solution that could withstand harsh weather and operational conditions. In an industry where even the smallest error can have catastrophic consequences, the importance of explosion-proof (Ex) and weatherproof lighting could not be overstated.

Navigating Complex Challenges
Lighting in hazardous zones is no simple task. A critical aspect of the project involved determining the specific hazardous areas—whether classified as Zone I or Zone II. Each zone had its own requirements for safety, design, and implementation. Our team also had to design technical lighting systems that adhered to strict standards for explosion-proof and ingress protection (IP66).

Additionally, coordinating with other elements of the project was a significant challenge. The lighting system had to integrate seamlessly with complex pipelines, heavy machinery, and intricate networks of the gas field without causing clashes or interruptions.

Tailored Solutions for Extreme Conditions
In response to these challenges, we designed and produced state-of-the-art explosion-proof Ex d and IP66 luminaires. These high-efficiency lighting systems were specifically engineered to endure the extreme conditions of the South Pars gas field. To complement these luminaires, we also manufactured durable lighting poles, ensuring both functionality and stability.

The luminaires were built using advanced materials and technology, providing superior resistance to explosive environments, moisture, and corrosion. Each product underwent
